For more than 50 years we have designed and manufactured stainless steel rigging fittings for the global marine industry. Our range covers standing rigging, guard rails and life lines for sailboats and yachts, machined at our Essex factory from high specification materials.
In 1973 Ivor Barfield launched a swageless wire rope terminal at the London Boat Show, a fitting that could be assembled by hand without a swaging machine. It was crafted in an era without modern manufacturing technology, and it changed how riggers terminated wire rope. Three generations on, we are still a family run UK manufacturer, producing the majority of our product range at our Essex based factory.
We are ISO 9001 accredited and every fitting we produce is machined from high-specification alloys, with materials that are certificated and fully traceable.
We offer an extensive range of terminals for 1×19, 7×19, 7×7 and compacted strand stainless steel wire rope.
Our Marine Swage Terminals are designed for professional installation using rotary & fixed die swaging machines. Alternatively, our Sta-Lok Self-Fit Terminals are hand-fitted and reusable, assembled with simple hand tools rather than a swaging machine. That makes them a practical choice for rigging work away from a workshop.
Sta-Lok offer two key ranges of turnbuckles. Our Bronze Turnbuckles are forged and machined from high-strength bronze alloy. Our Supajust Turnbuckles pair a 316 stainless steel body with permanently sealed threaded bronze inserts, helping to avoid seizing and galling.
We also have a wide range of Marine Toggles and Threaded End Fittings to complete the connection between the rigging and the deck.
Our Yacht Guard Rail and Life Line Fittings include swage terminals, gate eyes, pelican hooks and adjusters, supplied for both new yachts and for replacing worn or damaged fittings.
Insulated standing rigging turns a backstay into an antenna for radio transmission and reception. Our Insulators use a stainless steel assembly embedded in a weather-proof nylon moulding, designed to exceed the breaking load of the backstay. They are available in eye to eye, swage to swage and terminal to terminal configurations.
The Supajust Rig Sensor combines our Supajust turnbuckle with a Cyclops Marine load sensor, allowing rig load data to be displayed and recorded on both onboard displays or mobile devices.
We also supply Wireteknik Swaging Machines, dies and pulling tools through our long-standing partnership with Wireteknik.
Our Other Products and Accessories cover the smaller components that finish a rig, from spreader end tip cups through to our Sta-Pin wraps.
