Ever thought about using wire rope to create beautiful cable infill systems? This stunning deck was designed earlier in the year by Ben Edward Garden Design and installed in October 2020.
Following a number of initial discussions with Ben about the project, a number of viable solutions were presented to help create an elegant and stylish 316 stainless steel cable infill system for this beautiful deck.
The final configuration for the project was 20 individual cables, featuring 4mm 1×19 stainless steel wire.
Our in-house rigging team swaged a swage stud at one end while leaving the other end of the wire blank. Provided loose, the Sta-Lok Self-Fit Stud’s where then fitted on-site in a DIY fashion, using simple hand tools to terminate the wire and complete the assembly.
The system was then finished off using our Dome Head Adjusters at either end to mate with the studs and create a symmetrical design. Our Dome Head Adjustors provide a really sleek look whilst offering adjustment levels without the need for larger turnbuckles.
After completion of the project, Ben Edward commented;
