Product Recall Notice – STA-LOK 12mm Insulators

STA-LOK have identified a potential manufacturing defect on 12mm Insulator Bodies. There is a risk that the manufacturing defect could reduce the breaking load of the Insulator and lead to a possible failure.

Due to the sealed design of this product, it is not possible to visually identify the potential defects. Whilst we do not believe or expect all of the batch to be affected, the safety of yacht owners and their crews is of the highest importance to us.

With this in mind, as a cautionary measure we have decided to recall ALL 12mm Insulators supplied by STA-LOK between;

24th May 2019 and 16th June 2021.

We are making direct contact with Riggers and Resellers, who our records show that we have supplied product (s) to during the stated period and request that these 12mm Insulators are returned to STA-LOK with immediate effect.

This recall affect’s the following part numbers:

• • 206-12 (Sta-Lok Insulator Body)
  • 043-12, 143-11 & 143-12 (Sta-Lok Insulator Terminal to Terminal)
  • 091-12, 140-11 & 140-12 (Sta-Lok Insulator Terminal & Eye)
  • 093-12, 193-11 & 193-12 (Sta-Lok Insulator Swage to Swage)

Throughout our company’s 48 year history we have placed Quality first. Our aim is to contact all customers and Yacht owners affected, without delay and to ensure their safety.

We will be running a recall and replace programme, for the replacement of 12mm Insulators and replacement back stays, which used a Sta-Lok Insulator produced during the stated period (24th May 2019 and 16th June 2021).
