Ivor Barfield designed and developed many innovative products throughout his career as an engineer. One such product was a fitting for wire ropes, now known as the Sta-Lok Self-Fit Terminal.

Originally developed in an era without technology, where everything was crafted by hand, it is still a great testament to Ivor and his design, that in 50 years the Sta-Lok Self-Fit design has not been greatly altered.

Ivor was immensely proud to have established a British manufacturing company and of the staff who over the years have helped to achieve his visions. In 2006, we launched Sta-Lok Inc. expanding our business to the USA, becoming an incorporated company based in North Carolina, which has grown and become an established part of the American Marine industry.

Today we are exporting Sta-Lok products around the world, but we are incredibly proud to have retained our roots as a British Manufacturing Company and to have continually invested over the years in advancing manufacturing methods, welcoming our first automated robot in 2023.
